Mathieu COURIVAUD, born in 1972 in Paris
Independent photographer since 2002.
His main focus are portraits, action and urban landscapes. He works for magazines such as Citizen k, Icon (France), Volume, Nyt (Finland).
He is also commissioned for campaigns and catalogues like Cacharel, Kyocera and Courir.
Besides, he has exhibited at the United Nations Plaza (NYC) and at Galerie 64 in Paris and will exhibit at the space Anymus in Madrid in May 2006.
He has acquired strong professional and technical skills by working as an assistant in big studios in Paris and free lance in New York and London. He equally uses large format cameras (4x5 inches) and digital, natural and sophisticated lights.
Mathieu has a background as an editor in photojournalism agencies (Gamma, Liaison…), and was involved in all sports related to mountaineering.
